Cardinal Shaped Bird House – From Our Lawn & Garden Shop

Just love this chubby cardinal shaped bird house! Not sure that the birds would actually nest in there, but what a great addition to your garden!

Caterina Cardinal is made of some kind of plastic, and comes with a chain to hang her from a branch, clothesline, or whatever works for you!

Condition:   It’s in good although apparently faded condition.

Dimensions:  She’s about 7″ wide by 11″ from the tip of her tail to her beak, and 11″ long from the top of the chain.

FIRM Price:  $15.00, plus 5.5% Maine State Sales Tax of $.83, for a total of $15.83.

Unless we’re having a sale, which would be listed here, our prices are firm.

Our Apologies, But Holds Over 24 Hours Must Now Provide a 50% Deposit: As we’ve gotten busier, I’m spending a great deal of time juggling multiple requests for the same item.  Most of the time, something comes up in the customer’s life that prevents him or her from getting here, but sometimes I never do hear from them again. And in the meantime, other customers who are asking about the item end up moving on when the chair or art or garden statue or whatever isn’t immediately available.  So without a deposit, I’ll now have to implement a First Come, First Served policy.

Shipping & Delivery:  Free local pickup. We can deliver within Lewiston-Auburn for a $10.00 delivery fee, or Gray/Portland (along the 202 Route, or just off it) early Wednesday mornings for the same $10.00.  Shipping is $9.00.

SOLD! Ralph’s Cash Market, Canton Maine – 2 Calendars From 1960

Wow… look at the telephone number!

I grew up in Oxford County, about 35 miles from Canton – and I even have a photo of myself as a 4 or 5 year old, sitting under the old crank phone we had back then, when we lived in Bryant Pond.

So these are just super cool for me!

There are two calendars, both from 1960.

Condition:   As you can see from my pictures, the calendars have been a bit damaged over the years, but the photo on each is still adorable.

Dimensions:  About 15″ high x 9.5″ wide.

FIRM Price:  $20.00 for both, plus 5.5% Maine State Sales Tax of $1.10, for a total of $21.10.

Unless we’re having a sale, which would be listed here, our prices are firm.

SOLD! Inexpensive White Bookcase with Two Shelves

Sometimes you just need a wicked cheap bookcase.

This is one of those pressed wood units with the heavy cardboard back. It’s not of particularly great quality, but hey… it’ll last you for a bit, if you’re careful with it.

Condition:   It’s in good condition, considering it’s not real wood.  The person who put it together “missed” when getting the studs in the bottom, so they show (which doesn’t matter as far as looks are concerned, but could mean it won’t last as long as it might otherwise since the pressboard has been eaten up a bit).

The heavy cardboard backing is just that… cardboard.  Often that kind of backing becomes problematic, but so far, it’s holding.

Dimensions:  31″ high x 30″ wide x 11 1/2″ deep.

FIRM Price:  $18.00, plus 5.5% Maine State Sales Tax for $.99, for a total of $18.99.

Unless we’re having a sale, which would be listed here, our prices are firm.

SOLD! 2 Large Plastic Canada Geese Floater Decoys – From Our Lawn & Garden Shop

It doesn’t matter what these were originally intended for; I love this pair of Mama & Papa geese as lawn & garden ornaments. Don’t you think they’d look great near a bird bath? (Watch for a future post, as I do have a bird bath coming.).

Dimensions:  24 inches long x 12 inches wide by 12 inches high.  They’re big!

FIRM Price:  $40.00, plus 5.5% Maine State Sales Tax for $2.20 for a total of $42.20.

Unless we’re having a sale, which would be listed here, our prices are firm.

Lovely Antique Stand or Bookcase with 2 Shelves and a Drawer

This is a gorgeous piece of antique wood furniture… I just wish I knew what kind of wood it is. If you look closely at the photos, you’ll see the patterns, colors and swirls in the wood that really make this piece stand out. The stand has a number of interested features from the almost mission style sides and front legs that rise above the top surface, to the cut-out back panel that keeps your valuables from falling off.

However, like too many antiques, it’s borne some surface damage over the years. I don’t know anything about refinishing furniture, but if done well, when the blemishes on top are cleaned up, you will have a truly beautiful piece, worth passing down through future generations.

Condition:   As shown in the photos and the description above.  Structurally it’s sound and very sturdy.  The narrow panel under the drawer needs either tacking or regluing as it’s loose on the right side facing the stand.  Due to its age, there are some obvious blemishes as well as minor scratches in the wood.   As you can also see, it’s a bit dusty and could use some furniture polish.

Dimensions:  19 inches wide by 9 inches deep (except the drawer knobs another 3/4 of an inch to the depth).  The height to the first shelf is 10 inches; to the second shelf is another 10 inches.  Overall the stand is about 36″ tall including the back lip.

FIRM Price:  $75.00, plus 5.5% Maine State Sales Tax for $4.13, for a total of $79.13.

Shipping & Delivery:  Free local pickup. We can deliver within Lewiston-Auburn for a $10.00 delivery fee, or Gray/Portland (along the 202 Route, or just off it) early Wednesday mornings for the same $10.00.  Shipping probably would be about $50.00 so isn’t recommended unless you really want it, of course!

Our Apologies, But Holds Over 24 Hours Must Now Provide a 50% Deposit: As we’ve gotten busier, I’m spending a great deal of time juggling multiple requests for the same item.  Most of the time, something comes up in the customer’s life that prevents him or her from getting here, but sometimes I never do here from them again.

Shipping is $25.00.

For other options, please review our most recent blog on Possible Delivery Options in the Next Week (use the search feature), or our Shipping & Delivery page at https://heritagecollectiblesmaine.com/details-shipping-information/.

Special Orders. If there’s something you’re looking for – whether it’s antique, vintage or contemporary; furniture, art, spiritual (ancients, indigenous, other), tools, collectibles, funky, or what-have-you— we’re happy to search out such items.  Presuming they’re available in your price range, condition and so forth, we can obtain the item and if you purchase it immediately, we’ll take 25% off what would otherwise be our retail price.  We won’t bid on something without checking with you first, unless we’re positive we can sell it anyway! Give Linda a call at 207-740-2247.
