Sold! Bright & Cheerful Floral Rug Runner

This is a cheerful runner rug that, for the price, you won’t mind using in an entry hallway where mud could be an issue.

Condition: Fair to good. There are a couple of areas on back that look like water or cleaning stains.  The underside also has some clear wear in a couple of places and there’s a section a seam appears to have “cracked” like the spine on a book does.  

Dimensions:  20″ wide by 112″ long.

Perfect Sized Television Stand, Entertainment Center or Storage Center

Price reduced because I need the room in my garage to park my car this winter!

If you’re looking for a good, solid piece of furniture for your television and other electronics (or even just for other everyday uses), this is a great buy.

Apparently, it was originally intended for some other use, but was used for electronics, as there’s a hole cut in the back for power cords and such.

Otherwise, other than some surface scratches, it’s in good shape.

Dimensions:  It’s about 23″ wide including the 1″ lip on either side of the top surface x 16″ deep x 32″ high.

Price Reduced:   $25.00; was $35.00.

Antique Victrola Cabinet – Think of What You Can Do With This!

This is a wonderful old Victrola cabinet. Unfortunately, the Victrola is long gone, but the cabinet has been in use for playing music since then; the husband of a friend (who I’m posting this for) had turned this into a very cool CD cabinet.  Eventually, however, they decided it was time to retire the piece in favor of another.

So, this real wood cabinet is looking for a new home… someone who will love it the way it was loved for years, and bring joy to its new surroundings!  

Condition:  It’s in good shape, especially for an item that seems to be about 100 years old.  There are a few minor dings and blemishes here and there, it needs a good polishing (as it’s been in storage for quite some time) and of course, there are a couple of holes drilled for wiring (or perhaps even for a hand crank?), but otherwise, it’s lovely.  

Dimensions:   36″ from the floor to the start of the cabinet top; 42″ high in all.  18″ wide x 20.5″ deep.  The cabinet needs to be 6″ from the wall for the top to open all the way.

Firm Price:   $30.00.

3 Antique, All Wood, School Desks – Great Project Desks! (Price is for all 3)

I forget where these three desks came from. After picking them up at a yard sale about a decade ago, they got buried in my garage and I just now dug them out. But it was a local parochial school, I believe.

Condition: Solid and sturdy but they’ve seen decades of child use. The one pictured on the left seems to have some very minor expansion of the middle surface panel; it fit fine when we got the desks years ago, but now could use some sanding to make it fit as it belongs.

Dimensions: All are the same size – 18 inches deep by 23 3/4 inches by 30 inches high.

Very Solid (and Heavy!) Wood Media Side Table by SmartStuff

Media side table with two drawers and shelf. Made by Smartstuff, Furniture for Kids (although this doesn’t seem like kid furniture to me… it’s contemporary and would fit almost anywhere!).

Features dovetailed drawers.

Top/back flips open for wires.

Dimensions: 21″ l x 18″ w x 28″ h.

When I bought this recently, I was able to find information on-line that described this exact piece… and they go for a LOT of money.

However, now I can’t find it, although it’s possible to find other SmartStuff pieces… and they all go for a lot of money.

Condition: This side table is very heavy, made of excellent quality materials and in near perfect condition. It does have a small ding on the top, that happened during storage in my garage.

It does not come with the electronic item shown in the photo.

Absolutely Fabulous Vintage Sewing Cabinet/Stool on Wheels

This combination sewing stool/cabinet on casters with three drawers and a removable cushion is absolutely fabulous.

I haven’t been able to find another like it on-line, but have found other old sewing cabinets going for far more, with fewer features.

The top drawer contains three removable sections, apparently designed for thread spools.

It even has handles on either side in the event you wish to carry, rather than roll, it.

Condition: Excellent. An absolutely beautiful piece. The cushion has no cracks, rips or tears. The wood is in near perfect shape with few marks or blemishes. The castors roll as they should.

Dimensions: 19 inches wide by 19 inches deep by about 20 1/2 inches high.

Location: This is now at our booth at Hathaway Mill Antiques, 10 Water Street, Waterville ME. Our booth is “HCB”. Hathaway Mill Antiques is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 10:00am to 5:00 pm.

One of the Prettiest Little Telephone Stands (aka Gossip Benches) I’ve Seen!

Calling this piece a telephone stand doesn’t do it justice… don’t you just love the term “Gossip Bench”?

I’m told the worn area seen in the photos at the front left of the table is from decades of family mmebers sitting on that chair with their elbow rubbing on the edge of the surface while talking away on the phone.

Oh, take a look at the floral carving on the seat back!

Condition: Other than the rubbing noted above the only other flaw seen is that the left corner of the off white cushion (facing the seat) is slightly discolored. It looks like it will clean up readily,

Dimensions: It’s 18 inches deep. The shelf itself 11 1/2 inches wide; the seat is 16 1/2 inches wide – overall it’s about 28 inches wide. The seat is 19 from the floor. To the top of the seat back is 33 1/2 inches.

Lovely Little Side Table or Small Coffee Table!

This is a lovely little side table with some sweet detailing. It’s vintage, which means real wood.

Condition: Structurally, it’s solid Aesthetically, it’s in good condition but has some dings and blemishes as expected from a piece that’s probably from the 1960s.

Dimensions: 24″ wide x 14 1/2″ deep x 23 1/2″ high. The bottom shelf is 10 inches off the floor.

Sold! 2 CD Shelves – or Use As Bookshelves, Figurine Displays, or Whatever You Need!

These two CD shelves were actually used to display mementoes and figurines but they’d be great for books, snacks or almost anything you can think of.

The shelves are adjustable. The shelves are particle board.

Condition: Very good.

Dimensions: The two CD racks are identical. Each is 6 inches deep by 10 3/4 inches wide by 45 1/2 inches high. However they have a stabilizing lip at the bottom makes each shelf 9 1/2 inches deep.
