Although it’s considered a “modern” – or reproduction – cabinet, that’s because the back is a thin plywood.  It’s not the crappy heavy cardboard you sometimes see on contemporary bookcases or other inexpensive furniture, but it’s not old boards which would make this cabinet much heavier than it is.  And considerably more expensive.  

The cabinet has a distressed look to it, because it is from real use, not some factory cutesiness! There are dings and scrapes, as well as a burn or some other kind of mark on top as shown in the photos. There are also some darker areas in the paint (which is more blue than my photos show) which are typical of older paint. 

This cabinet definitely has the old farmhouse feel to it.  It’s a very nice piece but as noted above, is not a “straight from the factory” type of distressed.  It’s the real thing.

The photo above and some of those below shows the true color better than the rest, which have it as more grey… it’s not.  It’s a country blue.

Dimensions:  The cabinet is 20 1/2″ wide by 51″ high x 13″ deep.

Condition:  Structurally, it’s in good solid condition.  Visually, it’s also in good condition unless you’re expecting a more sanitized version of what’s called “distressed” nowadays.  Please review the photos for further information.

Shipping & Delivery:  Free local pickup.  We can deliver within Lewiston-Auburn for a $10.00 delivery fee, or Gray/Portland (along the 202 Route, or just off it) early Wednesday mornings for the same $10.00.  Shipping would be rather expensive for this piece.
