SOLD! Ceramic Gargoyle – Dog with Wings?

 Gargoyle 8Gargoyle 2 Gargoyle 3 Gargoyle

Okay, so this is not Cerberus, the Greek mythological dog that guarded the gates of the underworld, because he only has one head.  And maybe he’s not even a winged dog at all… We’re not sure.  But he definitely appears to be some sort of guarding gargoyle.  Isn’t he lovely?

Price:  $18.00 plus 5.5% Maine State sales tax.

Dimensions:  About 20″ high x 20″ wide by 12″ deep.

Condition:  Our guy with the ugly mug has seen some wear.  His paint is coming off in small pieces here and there, but since it appears to be paint on ceramic, that shouldn’t be hard to fix.  He has some chips in the crease behind both wings; it looks like he may have been badly put together, or maybe the paint just went on in gobs and wasn’t wiped properly.  In any event, overall he’s in pretty good shape… not great, but pretty good. Seriously, do you expect him to be perfect?

SOLD! Primitive Country Kitchen Wind Chime

 Wind Chime

Someone with a eye for recycling old kitchen utensils into a country primitive wind chime did a great job with this piece!

With a metal bundt pan, a coffee percolator thingie to hold the coffee grounds, some baubles, and a few spoons, we now have a pretty cool wind chime, already somewhat “weathered” and perfect for that country kitchen window!

More pictures at the end of this blog.

Price:  $18.00 plus 5.5% Maine State sales tax.

Dimensions:  About 2′ long.

Please note: The shop at 189 Main Street in Lewiston is closed from September 1-25, 2017 while Linda visits her daughter, son-in-law and new grandson!

Some Quick Details:

  • Prices Are Firm.  We do not negotiate on the prices listed in our blogs… they’re set based on what the item cost us and our expenses in running the shop.
  • Sales. We do occasionally have sales or reduce the prices on an item (usually if the item has been in the shop for at least 6 months with plenty of marketing).  If so, that reduced price will be posted.
  • Holding Items.  Sorry, not without payment.  We used to when we first opened the shops, and found that too often the person asking us to hold an item never came back and we lost sales in the interim to someone who was standing there with cash in hand. Obviously, that’s not good business.
  • Questions.  This is tough… I’d like to be responsive to everyone who has questions, but I work full time as a social worker, and full time at this shop hoping that someday it will make enough money so I can retire from that social work job.  This means I have very limited time to respond to questions, especially if those questions have already been answered in this blog or on our various posts.  So I may not have time to respond…
  • Dealers. We’re happy to talk to you!  Please remember to bring a copy of your State Resellers License.

Layaway Plan:  Please see our “Details: Layaway Plan” page.

Payment Information:   Please see our “Details: Payment & Pricing” page.

SOLD! Solid Blonde Cabinet with Butt Doors

 Chest - Blonde

This is a great, solid and clean little chest, with a single drawer at the top and nice clean cabinet space underneath.  As you can see from the pictures below, it has “butt doors”, meaning the doors butt up against each other without a center panel, leaving the cabinet space very accessible when the doors are open.

The piece could be refinished, or used as it… it has some wear and tear from use, but otherwise is in great shape.

Check out additional pictures at the end of this blog.

Price:  $40.00 plus 5.5% Maine State sales tax.

Dimensions:  Coming soon… about 3′ high x 3′ wide

Condition:  Some wear and tear but nothing significant.

SOLD!  The Marilyn looking over her shoulder has been sold!

SOLD! Two Blue French Provincial Style Marbleized End Tables

023 016

We LOVE these two faux marble end tables – at least, I do.  The husband isn’t so crazy about them, but then, what do men know about furniture?

I don’t really have any history on these pieces but do know that they were refinished in 2015 by someone who was so happy with her work that they’ve even been signed and dated! (See pictures.)

Each has two drawers.

Dimensions:  19″W x 22 1/2″H x 29″D.

Condition:  The two tables are in GREAT condition – near perfect.  The work is so well done that several customers have commented that at first they believed the tables really had marble tops.

Price:   $135.00 for the pair plus Maine sales tax of $7.43 for a total of $142.43.
