Okay, so it’s a silly blog title.  But you’ve got to admit, this is a rustic rooster rack, likely handmade, and “Rusty” works.  Right?

I don’t know if it was supposed to be a magazine rack as the auction house called it, or if perhaps it was more likely used as a catchall for old newspapers before they got thrown into the woodstove.  That would have been my guess.

Dimensions:   About 18″ from beak to tail x 13″ high by 10 1/2″ deep.  It’s bigger than it may seem on first glance.

Condition:  What you see is what you get.  This appears to have been handmade.  It’s rustic – it doesn’t have a “polished” look to it.  But it’s solid.
