Shortly after my late husband and I first started this business, we picked up 3 old wooden desks that had come out of a local school years before. 

My original thought had been to find someone connected to that school to see if that person would be interested in the desks’ history, and perhaps refinish them to bring back some of their original appearance.  There was never enough time to do everything, and now I’ve even forgotten which school those desks came from.

Obviously, we never sold them – mostly because they were being used to display other inventory.  And for the past couple of years, they’ve been stored in my garage.

Now it’s time for these three old desks with all their history (unknown though it is) to find a new home.  Could that home be with you?

These are the old type with just an open cubby underneath.  Plain, straightforward.  Nothing fancy.

I’d like to see all of them go together.  This would surely be a fun restoration project for someone.

Condition:  Well used, and in less than wonderful condition visually, although still sturdy… I’ve had heavy boxes of books stacked on them in my garage, with no concerns.  The middle board on the top of one desk has come unglued and would need some wood gluing to keep it from sliding off.  (If I remember correctly, that may be the case with one of the others, but I haven’t yet unloaded the stuff piled on top of them to check.)

The one pictured has someone’s initials carved in the upper right hand corner.
