GONE! A New Curb Alert Behind Heritage Collectibles

Beginning tonight (Friday, July 21st) after 5:00, there will be more free stuff in the alley behind Heritage Collectibles (189 Main Street, Lewiston) and Papa’s Thrift Shop (5 Park Street, Lewiston).  The alley is at the end of the building on the Park Street side, right after Papa’s.

In the meantime, there will be a few items for free TODAY in front of Heritage Collectibles. Only those items marked “FREE” are free; the rest are for sale.

We have all different free stuff.  Everything that had previously been out there is gone; replaced with the following items:

  • a lap desk
  • stuffed animals
  • lots of Christmas items
  • a swimming pool cleaner
  • a reclining lawn chair
  • several expensive window treatments
  • a set of roof racks
  • an entertainment center
  • miscellaneous other items

There’s nothing particularly interesting so far but there are definitely items that a flea marketer might be interested in.  If you want to take it all in one fell swoop, I’d be thrilled! (Sunday night I’m loading up what’s left and dropping it off at Goodwill.)

And who knows what else I’ll be putting out there before the end of the day!

Please be respectful and don’t make a mess in the alley or in front of the shop.  My landlord parks there and he’s been really really good to us, but he doesn’t like to see a mess – and who can blame him?  Thank you!

Heritage Collectibles and Heritage Books & Maps have been combined into one shop: Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps, located at 189 Main Street in Lewiston.  We’ll still have two separate blogs: https://heritagecollectiblesmaine.com and https://heritagebooksandmaps.com.

Please follow either or both, and show us you like us!  (The more followers, likes and comments we have, the more impetus we have to put our efforts into presenting you with cool products and fascinating reads!)

Papa’s Thrift Shop has been re-opened at 5 Park Street (it’s in the same building as Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps but with a separate entrance around the corner from the 189 Main Street address)!   Papa’s website is:  https://papasthriftshop.com/

In memory of my beloved husband John K Snyder… 20 Sept 1956 – 21 Oct 2016.
He loved our shops, especially the section we called Heritage Books, Maps & Ephemera – that was his baby.

He loved me like crazy, and oh how I loved him.

Follow our blog at https://warrior-project.org, in honor of my husband, and all others who have been lost to internal demons that in the end, overwhelmed them.

All of the profits after expenses from Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps will go to help fund The (Grief) Warrior Project, a suicide prevention drop-in and counseling center in the process of being developed.

[Please Note: The (Grief) Warrior Project is in no way intended to be reflective of, or piggy back off, Wounded Warriors which serves those military personnel wounded after September 11, 20o1.  Like too many others, John was a warrior long before then.]

  1. I like the bunny in the first photo. The items in the box are pretty useful even though old.
