Piano Benches

Both benches have SOLD!

We recently picked up a couple of piano benches out of an old barn in southern Maine.

My husband John, a keyboardist, says both are surprisingly sturdy, as his experience has been that most end up with wobbly legs.

Bench #1 (in the pictures above) is slightly larger and cosmetically in better shape, although it does not appear to be of the same original quality as the second bench.

The second bench, which definitely could use being refinished, feels far more solid of the two, and has good plastic tips on the bottom of the legs to prevent marring of floors or rugs.  The mechanism to hold the seat upright to get into the storage compartment is a better quality one than the other bench has.

Both benches of course have the requisite storage compartment for music under the seat.

Dimensions:
… Bench #1: 28″W x 14″D x 22 1/2″H
… Bench #2: 25 1/4″W x 14 1/2″D x 22 1/2″ H

Condition: As shown in the pictures.  The second bench definitely needs to be refinished.
Prices:
… Bench #1: $20.00
… Bench #2: $20.00

Message re Our Products:
Most of the items we offer are vintage, antique or simply pre-owned.  Therefore, reasonable wear & tear is to be expected, and our items are sold as seen and as described in the photos and/or in person.
We try to describe any damage, nicks, blemishes or other problems of which we are aware in any and all of our listings, and always include plenty of clear photographs which are integral to the description, so please review them closely.
Also, please be aware that vintage and antique items are unlikely to be in factory condition, so if you aren’t used to buying antique or vintage items – and are in fact looking for a pristine, unused item – a new reproduction may be better suited for you.
We ordinarily do not “clean up” items because such cleaning may detract from their value.
We are specific and honest in our descriptions because we want happy buyers who will return and/or refer their friends!
