SOLD! Antique 3-Drawer Bureau in Green

 073

This nice little chest of drawers has stood the test of time.  Unlike those pieces for sale at furniture stores that have been through a “multi-step finishing process [that] results in a weathered, distressed patina” (an actual quote) – with a high end price to match – this bureau is the real deal.   It’s been “weathered and distressed” through love, use and time.

The dresser was passed down through a local family from a grandmother (and was possibly her mother’s) to the granddaughter we received it from. Aside from some black stains on the top and wear & tear on the edges, it’s in great condition and is very clean inside.

Leave it as is, with a bureau scarf covering the less beautiful areas, or refinish it in your own personal style!

Dimensions:  42.25″ wide x 33″ high x 20″ deep
Condition: Very Good
Style: Vintage, Early American, Country
Details:  Original key holes for a skeleton key in each drawer, larger top, legs on wheels, and a curved front panel.

Just $75.00 at Heritage Collectibles.

Hours: During the holiday season, we’ll be open expanded hours – as much as our day jobs allow.  For the rest of this week those hours will be:

Friday, Dec 11 – 10:00-5:00
Saturday, Dec 12 – 11:00-5:00
Sunday, Dec 13 – 12:00-4:00

Our hours do unfortunately vary depending on the demands of our day jobs (Linda is a social worker, and John is the post press supervisor at the local newspaper), whether we are exhibiting at a show (rare nowadays), or are attending an auction we just don’t want to miss!  If you are coming from a distance, your best bet may be to call us first to make sure we’ll be there, or to make an appointment.  We do try to post our hours each day on the shop’s door, and on this blog.

Message re Our Products:
Most of the items we offer are vintage, antique or simply pre-owned.  Therefore, reasonable wear & tear is to be expected, and our items are sold as seen and as described in the photos and/or in person.
We try to describe any damage, nicks, blemishes or other problems of which we are aware in any and all of our listings, and always include plenty of clear photographs which are integral to the description, so please review them closely.
Also, please be aware that vintage and antique items are unlikely to be in factory condition, so if you aren’t used to buying antique or vintage items – and are in fact looking for a pristine, unused item – a new reproduction may be better suited for you.
We ordinarily do not “clean up” items because such cleaning may detract from their value.
We are specific and honest in our descriptions because we want happy buyers who will return and/or refer their friends!
