Gerald Burpee is the Winner of Two Free Balloon Ride Tickets!!
We’re about to announce the winner of the Balloon Ride tickets! Just waiting for the Hubs to arrive at the shop, so he can pick the name out of the paper bag!
What, you expected us to use some kind of technology to choose? In an antiques shop?
I tried to find a cute “Ha ha” meme to place here, but most of them were neither funny nor suitable for polite company. So I’ll stop now and wait for the Hubs to show up, so we can pick the winner. Oh wait… found one, sort of!
You and a very special person of your choosing could win a pair of tickets to ride a hot air balloon at the Great Falls Balloon Festival!!
Just imagine… you & your spouse or significant other, or you & one of your kids, or you & a parent, or you & your best bud… flying over Lewiston-Auburn in a hot air balloon. What a great event!
Or, you could give the tickets to a special couple for an anniversary, or other occasion. It’s entirely up to you!
Heritage Collectibles is a Moon Glow Sponsor of the Great Falls Balloon Festival coming up on August 21-23 right here in Lewiston-Auburn… and we have two tickets for a balloon ride to give away! How cool is that?
So here’s the deal… to enter the contest all you have to do is comment on this blog with “Heritage Collectibles is very cool for helping sponsor the Great Falls Balloon Festival” and you’ll be automatically entered, with a chance to win that balloon ride for you and whomever you choose!
Yes, we know – “Heritage Collectibles is very cool for helping sponsor the Great Falls Balloon Festival” is kind of long. We thought about having you write “I heart Heritage Collectibles” but figured that’s kind of hokey and everyone else does it that way.
Besides, for a chance to win, you have to write the words EXACTLY the way we’ve specified, and there will be people who decide it’s too much work, giving YOU an even better chance at winning!
By the way, we’re still looking for someone with a vintage vehicle (a truck would be GREAT!) to drive in the parade on Saturday. We would want to hang our banners on either side but you’d get to show off that great antique of yours… again we ask, how cool is that? (If someone does decide to donate their time and be involved with the parade, we’ll give you 10 free entries into this contest!)
What are you waiting for??
The contest closes on Thursday, August 20th at midnight. Only one entry per day per person.
Main Location: Heritage Collectibles at 189 Main Street, Lewiston ME 04240.
Hours: Usually 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursdays, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Fridays, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays and occasionally 11:00 am to 5:oo pm on Sundays. We’re also often open until 7:00 pm on Fridays (especially the last Friday of the month which is ArtWalk night from May-September).
And we try to be open Mondays & Tuesdays from 9:00 am-1:00 pm, although that’s a bit tougher for us.
Our hours vary depending on the demands of our day jobs (Linda is a social worker, and John is the post press supervisor at the local newspaper), whether we are exhibiting at a show (rare nowadays), or are attending an auction we just don’t want to miss! Your best bet is to call us first to make sure we’ll be there, or to make an appointment. We do try to post our hours each day on the shop’s door, and on this blog.

Message re Our Products:
Most of the items we offer are vintage, antique or simply pre-owned. Therefore, reasonable wear & tear is to be expected, and our items are sold as seen and as described in the photos and/or in person.
We try to describe any damage, nicks, blemishes or other problems of which we are aware in any and all of our listings, and always include plenty of clear photographs which are integral to the description, so please review them closely.
Also, please be aware that vintage and antique items are unlikely to be in factory condition, so if you aren’t used to buying antique or vintage items – and are in fact looking for a pristine, unused item – a new reproduction may be better suited for you.
We ordinarily do not “clean up” items because such cleaning may detract from their value.
We are specific and honest in our descriptions because we want happy buyers who will return and/or refer their friends!
