SOLD! A Wicked Cool Vintage Metal Record Stand

This vintage record stand came out of an 1800s home in Auburn, and man is it wicked cool in that retro, Mid Century Modern kind of way!  We love the lattice work top, and the way it holds records below.  (If we hadn’t had a flood in the basement of a previous house, losing all of our vinyl, we’d have bought this off the shop in a heartbeat.)

Condition:  Very good.

Price:  $35.00.  (Plus the usual 5.5% Maine State Sales tax, of course.)

NOTE: Now that we’ve downsized at our main location, our new entrance is at the back of the building (use the rear entrance in back of 189 Main Street, off the Park Street side).  You’ll see some signs in the windows saying “Heritage Collectibles”, “Retail Shop” and “Welcome”!

SOLD! Electrical Equipment of Some Kind

My husband knew what these contraptions were and told me about them before he died, but they got buried and never made it onto the website.  Recently I picked up a few more from a clean out.  So clearly it was time to dig the others out and see if we can get them sold!

More – and better – pictures will be coming soon!

Condition:   I have no idea.

Price:  John gave me a list of what each item was and what it should sell for.  The list has been kind of, sort of, misplaced but I do remember that everything was between $10.00-$20.00.  Since there are now about 10 of these boxes of some kind of electrical contraptions, I’d happily sell the whole lot for $100.00 if someone was inclined to take them off my hands.

Otherwise I’ll be trying to research and find a fair price for each one.  (Plus the usual 5.5% Maine State Sales tax, of course.)

NOTE: Now that we’ve downsized at our main location, our new entrance is at the back of the building!  You’ll see some signs in the windows saying “Heritage Collectibles”, “Retail Shop” and “Welcome”!

GONE! Nice Solid Wood Dining Table That Seats 6 to 8 People

This is a very nice dining room table – it’s good and solid, although I can’t tell you what kind of wood it’s made of.  It’s completely put together, but since the shop doesn’t have a lot of room, we have it leaning up against a wall as you can see.  There’s also an extra leaf that goes with it.

Without the leaf, the table easily seats six.  Unfortunately, we do not have a set of six (or even four) matching chairs, so the price reflects that.

The wood grain is darker than it shows in these pictures.

Condition:   Excellent.

Price:  $75.00.

SOLD! 4 Tiered Display Perhaps Used for Lollipops

We just acquired this tiered display piece that appears to have been used for showing off lollipops or something similar.  We haven’t counted the drilled holes, but it seems as though it could hold as many as a gross (144) of whatever it was made for.  (The display has $1.00 scrawled across it, which must have been the price of whatever was displayed on it.)

Condition:   It’s in very good condition, if a trifle boring.  (Okay, a lot boring.)

Price:  $16.00.  (Plus the usual 5.5% Maine State Sales tax, of course.)

It’s particle board of course, but the price is decent.

Condition:   It’s in quite good shape.

GONE! Partial Rolls of Retro Wallpaper

So here’s a bunch of vintage wallpaper.  We have no idea what you can do with it (crafts?, inside a closet?), but man, some of these patterns are very cool.  And very outdated.  Take a look!  (Yellow does appear to be the prevailing theme…)

Condition:   Seems to be in good shape.

Price:  $20.00 for the whole lot.  Enjoy!  (Plus the usual 5.5% Maine State Sales tax, of course.)

NOTE:  With the exception of books, maps & music, most of our antique and other inventory can now be found at the Undercover Antique Mall in Oxford.  FMI:  https://heritagecollectiblesmaine.com/details-hours/

WENT TO GOODWILL! I’m Kind of a Homely Chair But I Recline and Am Comfy…

This old chair isn’t the best looking we’ve ever seen, but the value for the money can’t be beat!  Some of the pictures make it look almost a gold brown.  It’s not.  It’s just a plain brown.

Condition:   It has an apparent cigarette burn hole in the seat, and a bald area on the top. Otherwise, it’s a nice comfy old chair, the kind the kids can climb on and for the price, you won’t worry about them destroying the recliner.

Or you can just hang out in it while watching television and dropping pizza crumbs and sauce everywhere… you’ll never see the stains with this color!

Price:  Just $20.00…. grab it quick!  (Plus the usual 5.5% Maine State Sales tax, of course.)

Gone!! Another Curb Alert!

Free stuff in the alley behind Heritage Collectibles (189 Main Street, Lewiston) and Papa’s Thrift Shop (5 Park Street, Lewiston).  The alley is at the end of the building on the Park Street side, right after Papa’s.

All different stuff.  Everything that had previously been out there is gone; replaced with the following items:

  • an entertainment center
  • ceramic religious statues
  • Christmas and holiday stuff
  • floral vases
  • a small television
  • tub seat
  • medical cane
  • small walker
  • suitcase set
  • two large bags of plastic clothing hangers
  • patio table (legs are separated from the top)
  • miscellaneous other items

There’s nothing particularly interesting so far but there are definitely items that a flea marketer might be interested in.  If you want to take it all in one fell swoop, I’d be thrilled! (Sunday night I’m loading up what’s left and dropping it off at Goodwill.)

And who knows what else I’ll be putting out there before the end of the day!

Please be respectful and don’t make a mess or take the television apart in the alley.  My landlord parks there and he’s been really really good to us, but he doesn’t like to see a mess – and who can blame him?  Thank you!

Vintage Desktop Norelco Air Freshener

We don’t know anything about this electric desk top “air freshener”, other than the very little we’ve found on-line.  It was made about 1970, and the outside is made of plastic with a wood grain look.

Condition:   Excellent… it looks good and the fan turns on.

Dimensions:  About 7 1/2″H x 4″W x 4″D.

Price:  The only two we found through our subscription service both sold for $20.00.  We’re offering this for just $10.00.  (Plus the usual 5.5% Maine State Sales tax, of course.)
