Updated: Around 1,200 American & World History, and Military Books!

We have loads and loads of history and military books – at least 1,200 of them, and possibly more because I’m still unpacking boxes from a huge load we just got in!  My Johnny was a major history and military buff, and had acquired a great collection for the shop just before he tragically passed away.

They’ve been moved (twice) from the original location he had set up so aren’t in the kind of organization that he had them in, but the majority of these great books he loved so much are still here.  And then, I’ve added more.

Come on in and take a look!  (The photos are from a few months ago, before I started adding new titles.  Will get more pictures soon.)

Condition:  Many are in “like new” condition.  Others are older and well used; there are even some first editions.

Price:  Varies, depending on the book, its condition and age.  Our prices are generally 25% below what you’ll find on Amazon, and far less than regular retail.

***************

NOTE:  With the exception of nearly 14,000 books, plus maps & music (sheet music & vinyl), most of our antique and other inventory can now be found at the Undercover Antique Mall in Oxford.  We are booth number 56.

FMI:  https://heritagecollectiblesmaine.com/details-hours/

We hope you will enjoy our revamped shop, as well as our booth in Oxford, as you did our original retail space on Main Street.

For those who’ve been waiting for the revamped Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps to re-open, we are still in the same building, but our new entrance is at the back of that building.

Just enter 9 Park Street, Lewiston into your GPS and park in the nearest available spot.  Our entrance is through the door at the end of the building on the right hand side.  You’ll see signs in the windows (“Retail Store” and “Heritage Collectibles” and “Antiques” as well as others; you’ll also see my silver Jeep Liberty parked nearby.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us since August of 2014!

GONE! Two Display Cases – Great for Jewelry or Other Small Items

I’d hold onto these two display cases if I had a place to store them, but there’s no room in my garage, so sadly they have to go.  You’ll have to pick them up and transport them, and will need at least a couple of people to load them in your truck or trailer.

Condition: Used but very serviceable.

Price: $75.00 each or both for $100.00 (plus 5.5% Maine State Sales Tax, of course).

Location: 189 Main Street, Lewiston.  They can only be seen by appointment.  Call Linda at 207.740.2247.

NOTE:  With the exception of books, maps & music, most of our antique and other inventory can now be found at one of the great antique shops or flea markets listed here:  https://heritagecollectiblesmaine.com/details-hours/

We hope you will enjoy our booths at those locations as you did our shop on Main Street.

For those dying to check out the revamped Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps, we are still in the same building, but our new entrance is at the back of that building.  You’ll see some signs in the windows saying “Heritage Collectibles”, “Retail Shop” and “Welcome”!

Just turn off Main Street in Lewiston onto Park Street and park in the first available parking spot.  The entrance is through the door at the end of the building on the right hand side.  You’ll see signs in the windows (“Retail Store” and “Heritage Collectibles” and “Antiques” as well as others; you’ll also see my silver Jeep Liberty parked there.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us for the past three+ years!

SOLD! Vintage 1940s Era Glamour / American Beauties Pinup Posters

Both Johnny and I loved the WW II era glamour girl pinups… those saucy ladies with a twinkle in their eyes and mostly dressed, but still suggestive of … well, you know.

I like(d) them because they’re fun and sexy and actually pretty wholesome.  John liked them because… well, he was quite the man.  ‘Nuff said there!

Condition:   Good to Very Good.    They’re mostly in very good condition, as they’ve been wrapped in plastic for the past 70 years.  I additionally placed each in a plastic art sleeve with a loose foam board support.

Dimensions:  Approximately 11″ x 14″.   I neglected to measure them and wrote this from memory!

Location:  The girls are at our booth (#56) at the Den of Antiquities, 1399 Bridgton Road, Westbrook ME.

Price:   $20.00 each; discounts for bulk purchases (for 5 or all 10).   Plus the usual 5.5% Maine State Sales tax, of course.

GONE! Curb Alert Behind Heritage Collectibles

There’s more free stuff in the alley behind Heritage Collectibles (189 Main Street, Lewiston) and Papa’s Thrift Shop (5 Park Street, Lewiston).  The alley is at the end of the building on the Park Street side, right after Papa’s.

  • bicycle tires
  • framed pictures
  • ladies shoes
  • window treatments
  • curtain rods
  • an antique pitcher (cracked and repaired)
  • two kids’ scooters
  • miscellaneous kitchen items

Please be respectful and don’t make a mess in the alley or in front of the shop.  My landlord parks there and he’s been really really good to us, but he doesn’t like to see a mess – and who can blame him?  Thank you!

And to the person who left the bucket filled with cigarette butts and empty “nips” bottles… gee, thanks.  I give free stuff and you leave trash.  Really classy.

NOTE: Now that we’ve downsized at our main location, our new entrance is at the back of the building (use the rear entrance in back of 189 Main Street, off the Park Street side).  You’ll see some signs in the windows saying “Heritage Collectibles”, “Retail Shop” and “Welcome”!
