SOLD! No Frills Student Desks!

As mentioned in a previous blog, we love old school desks… and over the years, we’ve sold several of them.

The desk pictured here is one of two I found in storage in the back of my garage; they’re taking up space I really need, so want to get them sold and out by mid day on Sunday, November 15th.  (If they aren’t gone by then, they’ll get buried again until next spring sometime.)  My memory is that there were three left, but I only found two.

The photos aren’t that clear because I took them in my garage at about 5:30 this morning.

Condition:   Good.  They’re solid without many dings or markings, but there is rust on the metal legs, which can possibly be sandpapered off or otherwise removed.

Price:  Reduced, this week only!  Were $12.00 each; now just $8.00.  Plus 5.5% State of Maine Sales Tax.

We love old school desks… and so do our customers, as over the years, we’ve sold several of them.

I just found this in storage in the back of my garage; it’s taking up space I really need, so want to get it sold and out by mid day on Sunday, November 15th.  If it’s not gone by then, it’ll get buried again until next spring sometime.

Condition:   Very nice.  The top appears to have been refinished although the inside still shows some child’s “artistic” endeavors.

Canopied Cat or Small Dog Bed, Made in Maine!

Canopy Bed in Avocado Green with Purple Accents.  Created from vintage pieces of mahogany and cherry, this stunning little canopy bed even has the original keyhole!  It’s been distressed lightly with a dry brush for a slightly shabby chic appeal. The canopy is secured with Velcro so can be easily removed for washing or fresh air.  It has a side drawer to hold a leash or other items.  (If your pooch is like our chowhound Buddy was, I would not recommend putting treats in there.)

Condition:  Never used, and the matching pet cushion is brand new. There are some minor rubs and dings from being in storage, but it’s in great condition, perfectly designed for your kitty or small pup to feel like royalty.

Dimensions:  27″H x 26″W x 21″D.  The floor of the bed itself is 11″ off the ground, excluding the cushion.

Price: REDUCED!  This piece was originally $148.00 when we had our shop; since then, it’s been taking up room in storage and it’s time to say good-bye to its new home. So as the saying goes, our loss is your gain. Now, just $74.00!  Maine State sales tax of 5.5% also applies.

Vintage No-Frills Rocker – Super Inexpensive!

As the title says, here’s a vintage, no-frills rocking chair available at a super cheap price.

Condition:  Good.  The arms of the rocker have some dings as expected from an older, well-used piece like this.  The cushions are in good shape – I didn’t notice any rips, tears or holes..

Another Pair of Two Vintage/Antique Corner Chairs!

While not as eye-poppingly beautiful as the mahogany corner chairs we have in stock and available, these are still a great pair and fit perfectly into those corners where a chair is so useful and needed!

I just took more photos of the set and found that while someone had them refinished the same, they are not identical.  One has straight “feet” at the bottom of its legs, the other has “knobs” or a footed appearance.

And the panels are different.  Otherwise, they are the same chairs!

1950s Americana Drum Lamp – From Our Americana Shop

Doesn’t this remind you of visiting your grandparents way back a few decades ago?  It’s a great example of 1950s style Americana.  

Size: The drum base is 11″; the lampshade is about 14″. Overall it’s about two and a half feet tall.

Condition: Very good, particularly for its age!  The three-way bulb in it works perfectly.

These are in the best shape of any I’ve come across in the past few years. The colors in the trays themselves are still vibrant and in almost perfect condition.

The accompanying stand is on working casters, and is made of metal and wood.

The legs and stand definitely show some rust, but again, they’re in far better shape than most.

SOLD! 2 Blue Arm Chairs – Inexpensive!

If you’re looking for a couple of inexpensive, no frills, a bit banged up chairs, here you are!

Condition:  They’re in pretty good shape, and seem reasonably sound, but they might need a touch up with some wood glue here and there.  The paint is scratched in areas and there are some minor stains on the seat of one of the chairs.
