GONE! Table Top Games! Foosball & Air Hockey

These two table top games have been sitting in my late husband’s man cave for years – it’s time to move them on out.

The foosball game only has one ball; the air hockey game only has one paddle (? is that what they’re called?).  Otherwise, they’re in good condition.  I turned the air hockey game on and tried it; it works as it should.

Dimensions:   Both are about 18″ wide by 3′ long.

Condition:  Both seem to be in great shape, except for the missing pieces.

FIRM Price:  $25.00 for both, or $20.00 each (I really don’t want to deal with having to sell them individually!).  No sales tax as these are personal items, not part of Heritage Collectibles.

Unless we’re having a sale, which would be listed here, our prices are firm.

Our Apologies, But Holds Over 24 Hours Must Now Provide a 50% Deposit: As we’ve gotten busier, I’m spending a great deal of time juggling multiple requests for the same item.  Most of the time, something comes up in the customer’s life that prevents him or her from getting here, but sometimes I never do hear from them again. And in the meantime, other customers who are asking about the item end up moving on when the chair or art or garden statue or whatever isn’t immediately available.  So without a deposit, I’ll now have to implement a First Come, First Served policy.

Shipping & Delivery:  Free local pickup.  We can deliver within Lewiston-Auburn for a $10.00 delivery fee, or Gray/Portland (along the 202 Route, or just off it) early Wednesday mornings for the same $10.00.  Shipping would be rather expensive.

SOLD! Large Decorative Floral White Metal Trash Can with Handles

I have searched and searched and searched but have not been able to find a trash can of this size and decorative painting posted for sale anywhere.  I would have expected that there must be others out there, but I can’t find any on Etsy, Amazon, eBay, Worthpoint, Wayfair, Lowe’s, Home Depot, or anywhere else.  I really doubt it’s a home-painted piece because it seems to have been done commercially, but then again?

I have, however, found dozens of the much smaller 2 gallon trash cans with decorative designs on sites like Wayfair, with prices of $179.00!

I personally wouldn’t use this for trash. It’s far too pretty!  It seems a better use would be for dog food (or bird seed – an easy way to keep the mice out); the tight fitting lid should help keep even large amounts of pet food fresh… and it’s certainly easier to get at than dealing with bulky bags.  Alternatively, use for a clothes hamper, toy or blanket storage, or whatever else strikes your fancy!

It has an offset bottom to keep the can itself off the ground.

Dimensions:  It’s big:   18″ in diameter at the top, and about 23″ high.

Condition:  Structurally, it’s in good solid condition with no dents or holes, and just a tiny amount of rust on the bottom.  Visually, it’s great condition.  The white is white, the flowers are very bright and colorful, and it’s just an over-all fun and nice looking can with a tight fitting lid.  It’s super clean inside.

FIRM Price:  $75.00, plus 5.5% Maine State Sales Tax of $4.13 for a total of $79.13.

SOLD! A 3 Drawer Wooden Cabinet? Nope, It’s a Hidden Trash Can!

UPDATE!  Earlier when I posted this, I got my auctions mixed up.  Two days before I purchased this item, which was clearly identified as a trash can, I purchased a not dissimilar item that is a vegetable bin!  Whoa… too many auctions, perhaps!  (I attended and bid on-line at 8 or 9 that week.)

SO… I’ll just keep my original post below.  But you can rest assured that it was always intended to be a trash can, not a vegetable bin!

The auctioneer called this a vegetable bin, which makes sense because of the long narrow air circulation holes built into the back of the cabinet.

I’m not sure I’d ever use it as such, although it’s a good way to keep quantities of potatoes.  Because the heavy plastic/rubber trash can is secured firmly inside, it seems to me that you’d always want to use a trash bag with it for cleanliness purposes – so I’m thinking returnables, inside recyclables, or even pet food or bird seed.  Then again, if you’re crafty, you could repaint the entire cabinet and use in a kid’s room.

The piece has a hinged top lid.  The three drawers on front are purely decorative.

Dimensions:  24″ high x 18″ wide x 13″ deep.

Condition:  It’s in good, used, condition.  There’s a ding on the front of the cabinet as seen in the photos.  That’s real wood on the back, not that fake stuff!  And there are those long narrow air circulation holes built in to the back.

FIRM Price:  $40.00 plus 5.5% Maine State Sales Tax of $2.20, for a total of $42.20

Unless we’re having a sale, which would be listed here, our prices are firm..

Retired Cinnabar (Burgundy) Covered Fiesta Ware Casserole

Although the bright and cheerful colors of most Fiesta Ware pieces are appealing, I prefer the darker shades, such as this cinnabar casserole.  This color was produced from about 2000-2010, and then retired.

Dimensions:  9 1/2″ in diameter.  About 2 quarts (70 ounces).

Condition:  Excellent condition.  No chips, cracks or damage noted.  It does have a spot where the color is different than the rest of the pieces (see photos), but that’s typical of the inconsistencies of Fiesta Ware.

FIRM Price:  $24.00. Plus 5.5% Maine State Sales Tax of $1.32, for a total of $25.32.

Unless we’re having a sale, which would be listed here, our prices are firm..

SOLD! Large Vintage Carved Vase or Urn with Elephant Heads as Handles, Made in Italy

Chinoiserie, definition. The imitation or evocation of Chinese motifs and techniques in Western art, furniture, and architecture, especially in the 18th century.

I’m not certain what this stunningly beautiful vase is made of; researching it finds it variously described as “Cast & Carved Marble Composite”, soapstone, “celluloid”, and resin.

This is an ornate and intricately carved (or perhaps molded) ivory-colored vase that features handles shaped as elephant heads and two different raised relief village landscape scenes, as well as a footed pedestal. .

Dimensions: 12″ high x 9 3/4″ at its widest (from elephant head to elephant head). It weighs about 10 pounds.

Condition: Excellent!  No chips, cracks or other damage found.

Condition:  Very good, but definitely rustic, primitive.

Dimensions:  Approximately 5 1/2′ H; it’s very narrow… only about 5-6″ on each side and maybe 10″ across.

Our Apologies, But Holds Over 24 Hours Must Now Provide a 50% Deposit: As we’ve gotten busier, I’m spending a great deal of time juggling multiple requests for the same item.  Most of the time, something comes up in the customer’s life that prevents him or her from getting here, but sometimes I never do here from them again.

Shipping could be rather expensive for this piece because of its size..

For other options, please review our most recent blog on Possible Delivery Options in the Next Week (use the search feature), or our Shipping & Delivery page at https://heritagecollectiblesmaine.com/details-shipping-information/.

Buying Details:  We are very low tech.  Payment can be made via PayPal, good check (please allow 1 week to clear if not known to us) or cash.

Special Orders. If there’s something you’re looking for – whether it’s antique, vintage or contemporary; furniture, art, spiritual (ancients, indigenous, other), tools, collectibles, funky, or what-have-you— we’re happy to search out such items.  Presuming they’re available in your price range, condition and so forth, we can obtain the item and if you purchase it immediately, we’ll take 25% off what would otherwise be our retail price.  We won’t bid on something without checking with you first, unless we’re positive we can sell it anyway! Give Linda a call at 207-740-2247.
