In memory of my beloved husband John K Snyder… 20 Sept 1956 – 21 Oct 2016.

He loved our shops, especially the section we called Heritage Books, Maps & Ephemera – that was his baby.  Johnny was an avid reader, who loved the feel of real books in his hands… history was his forte, but in true Renaissance Man fashion, John knew a lot about a great many subjects.  He would often be so fascinated by a book he was reading that he would excitedly read aloud passages to me, so we could discuss the ideas contained therein.

He loved me like crazy, and oh how I loved him.

Follow our blog at https://warrior-project.org, in honor of my husband, and all others who have been lost to internal demons that in the end, overwhelmed them.

All of the profits after expenses from Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps will go to help fund The Grief Warrior Project, a suicide prevention drop-in and counseling center in the process of being developed, although it has been in hiatus during the pandemic.  I’m hoping to begin working on this again during the spring of 2022.

(Please Note: The Grief Warrior Project is in no way intended to be reflective of, or piggy back off, Wounded Warriors which serves those military personnel wounded after September 11, 2001.  Like too many others, John was a warrior long before then.)

Narrow Rustic Wood Shelving

Not sure why I like this so much, except it’s real wood, apparently home-made, and for some reason it’s just super cool. I wouldn’t really call this a bookcase although the shelves are deep enough for mass market-sized paper backs. I used it to display brass items and other smaller pieces. It really should be bracketed to a wall, although I never did do that.

Firm Price: $20.00.

Dimensions: 27″ w x 54.5″ h x 4″ deep.

FCFS.  Sorry, no holds without payment in advance via PayPal (see below for purchase options).  We don’t use any other cash or money app.

Please scroll down for more photos.  (My apologies; this shelf doesn’t show up well in these pictures.)

SOLD. Country Trash Bin – I Used It For Redeemable Bottles & Cans at the Office

This is a wonderful country style trash bin, which I used only for bottles & cans to turn in. A tall kitchen trash bag seems to fit in it pretty well, although I used a larger one.

Condition: Excellent except for the circular stains that can probably be sanded out. Those were already there when I purchased it second-hand.

Firm Price: $25.00.

Dimensions: About 3.5′ tall x 10″ x 10″ although that’s an estimate.

A Miscellaneous Bunch of Old Hand Tools

I really don’t know anything about what’s in this box other than it contains files, a wrench or two, a hammer and an assorted lot of other stuff that you can see in the photos. I’m sure it’s all worth a lot more than the price I have on it, but it’s easier for me to just post it all in one lot, and sell it, rather than have it taking up space in the garage.

FIRM Price: $25.00

Condition: Probably from fair to good.

FCFS.  Sorry, no holds without payment in advance via PayPal (see below for purchase options).  We don’t use any other cash or money app.

Please scroll down for more photos.

Local Pick Up Available:

Auburn.  This item is located at a private home in Auburn, and can be seen there by appointment, which ordinarily would be on weekends only. For those who prefer, you can find this item on Facebook’s Marketplace here: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/298320312296999 or you can send an email to Linda at HeritageCollectiblesMaine@gmail.com

Payment Through This Website:  This site supposedly offers the option of paying directly but there’s some kind of weird glitch and payment info for every new item posted somehow auto-populates to every previous item.  Since that’s obviously wrong, I’ve had to eliminate that option on most items.  My apologies!  Please connect with me via heritagecollectiblesmaine@gmail.com for purchase info.  Because my primary business is non-stop and demanding, I probably won’t get back to you until early morning or late evening. (More apologies!)

Our Other Maine Locations

Brunswick. We have a display cabinet (#27) at Cabot Mill Antiques, 14 Maine Street in Brunswick (ME). Their phone number is 207-725-2855. Cabot Mill is open Sunday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.  I don’t have good photos of the inventory at Cabot Mill as the display cabinet is all glass and I end up getting so much glare, it’s hard to see what’s available!

Oxford. Our more contemporary inventory is located at Happy Trails Antiques & Flea Market at 891 Main Street, Oxford (ME). Their phone is 207-515-0927. Happy Trails is open Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays from 9:00-5:00, and Sundays from 10:00-4:00. Our booth number (both booths) is S47, although one says S75 on the booth wall. For photos of these booths (at the time of posting), check out this blog:  https://heritagecollectiblesmaine.com/2021/04/26/our-two-booths-at-happy-trails-antiques-flea-market/

Waterville.  Hathaway Mill Antiques is located at 10 Water Street, Waterville (ME). Their phone is 207-877-0250. Hathaway Mill Antiques is open Wednesday through Sunday, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. We are booth #23 (or HCB).  You can find photos of the inventory in this booth (at the time of posting) here: https://heritagecollectiblesmaine.com/2021/05/03/heres-our-new-booth-of-vintage-antiques-at-hathaway-mill-antiques-in-waterville/

SOLD. Fabulous Suitcase Side Table on Wrought Iron Legs

I just love love love this EH (Ernest Hemingway) suitcase side table. Despite a couple of dings, it is absolutely gorgeous, and the inside is super clean. It’s also very heavy.

FIRM Price: $195.00. I don’t really have room for it anymore, but if it doesn’t sell for this price, I’ll just keep it. No sense in asking if I’ll take less.

Condition: Except for a couple of dings, it’s in great condition.

SOLD. Cute Little Glass, Wood and Metal Side Table

I used this little side table or whatever you want to call it as a catchall site for keys and other small items by my front door. However I recently replaced it with a larger antique piece, and can’t find a good place for it anywhere else in my house.

Condition: Very good.

FIRM Price: $22.00.

Dimensions: 15 1/2″ w by 11 1/2″ deep by 26 1/2″ to the top shelf (it’s another couple of inches to the top of the side bars).

FCFS.  Sorry, no holds without payment in advance via PayPal (see below for purchase options).  We don’t use any other cash or money app.
