Coming Soon! Heritage Auctions – On-Line Auctions Available by Computer or Your Smart Phone!

Coming soon!  On-line auctions!

We’re not quite sure when we’ll be able to pull it all together, since our other business (providing office management and consulting services to independent therapists and small businesses) is keeping us pretty busy, but we’re very excited about doing on-line auctions, too!  (Yeah, I know… too darned many interests for my own good!)

However, it’s our hope to have this new part of our business up and running by Thanksgiving.

And our friends are shaking their heads, saying, “What’ll she be up to next?”  HA!

As of right now, the plan is to have at least one on-line auction every week, probably on Sunday or Monday evening, which you can attend from your laptop or smart phone!

You’ll be able to depend on a different focus at each auction!  We expect to have very cool items for your bidding pleasure in the following categories:

… one auction will consist entirely of antiques
… another will be books, maps & ephemera
… we’ll have an auction devoted only to kitsch (you know… tacky stuff, bad taste, kind of oddball but fun!)
… our Nude Boutique auction will consist of classic and classy nude art, figurines, and so forth (NOT tacky stuff!)
… there’ll be a night every now and then with an auction of general household & other items
… and I’m sure once we get going, there will be other special interest nights, perhaps kids’ stuff, or Christmas decorations (wow… we donated a lot of those last year!), and who knows what else.

We want to make this fun and easy for anyone to watch and bid, and of course there will be lists of items with their photos and descriptions available in advance.

If you’ve tried on-line auctions and have any thoughts – what you liked, what you didn’t like – let me know!  We want to make this easy-peasy for everyone!  And I want to be entertaining as well, so who knows what we’ll come up with – besides great items for your buying pleasure!

Note:  Per state regulations, every item auctioned will be owned by the auctioneer or her business, or by a close family member.  We cannot take consignments of any kind.

NOTE:  Our 14,000 books, plus maps, sheet music and art are now available primarily on-line (with local delivery in the Auburn, Maine area available), while some of our vintage, antique and other inventory can be found at the Undercover Antique Mall in Oxford.  We are booth number 56.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us since August of 2014!

In memory of my beloved husband John K Snyder… 20 Sept 1956 – 21 Oct 2016.  He would have been the best auctioneer ever.  Oh how I miss him.

Johnny loved our shops, especially the section we called Heritage Books, Maps & Ephemera – that was his baby.  John was an avid reader, who loved the feel of real books in his hands… history was his forte, but in true Renaissance Man fashion, John knew a lot about a great many subjects.  He would often be so fascinated by a book he was reading that he would excitedly read aloud passages to me, so we could discuss the ideas contained therein.

He loved me like crazy, and I so loved him.

Help support The Grief Warrior Project, a suicide prevention and grief support organization by making purchases from Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps and/or Heritage Auctions.  All profits (after expenses) go to helping us help others.  I’m also a volunteer for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).

(Please Note: The Grief Warrior Project is in no way intended to be reflective of, or piggy back off, Wounded Warriors which serves those military personnel wounded after September 11, 2001.  Like too many others, John was a warrior long before then.)
