Shop Closing: Fixtures, Books and Furniture – On Sale Cheap or Free! More Added!

First, the remaining sale times:

Friday, January 18, 10:00-3:00
Saturday, January 19, 12:00-3:00
(Snow Date: Sunday, January 20, 10:00-3:00)

Some items will be half the prices listed below on Saturday, January 19 if they haven’t sold by that date.

I’m still working on getting the shop organized but there’s plenty that needs to be sold (more than is listed here)!

Come on in during the above times and get some great deals… bring a truck to haul off your purchases!

Okay, so here’s the info:

Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps is closing its physical location, and moving primarily to on-line sales, as well as flea markets, and of course, the Undercover Antique Mall in Oxford.

We’re presently in the process of removing everything we plan to keep and sell through the above venues; there will still be plenty left over that we no longer have the room or need for, which we’ll be selling for pretty cheap… and some will be available for free!

Payment: PayPal or cash only (unless you are known to us, in which case we can take a check). Prices discounted by 10% for any cash sales over $100. (It helps if I don’t have to pay the PayPal fees.)

Note: Unless you have a valid dealer certificate, the 5.5% Maine State sales tax will be applied!

The List:
Here’s a partial list, which I’ll continue to update so please keep checking back! You’ll find photos of some items below. In memory of my beloved husband John K Snyder… 20 Sept 1956 – 21 Oct 2016.

He loved our shops, especially the section we called Heritage Books, Maps & Ephemera – that was his baby.  Johnny was an avid reader, who loved the feel of real books in his hands… history was his forte, but in true Renaissance Man fashion, John knew a lot about a great many subjects.  He would often be so fascinated by a book he was reading that he would excitedly read aloud passages to me, so we could discuss the ideas contained therein.

He loved me like crazy, and oh how I loved him.

Follow our blog at, in honor of my husband, and all others who have been lost to internal demons that in the end, overwhelmed them.

All of the profits after expenses from Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps will go to help fund The Grief Warrior Project, a suicide prevention drop-in and counseling center in the process of being developed.

(Please Note: The Grief Warrior Project is in no way intended to be reflective of, or piggy back off, Wounded Warriors which serves those military personnel wounded after September 11, 2001.  Like too many others, John was a warrior long before then.)
