Hardcover and Paperback Contemporary Fiction – About 50-60 Boxes of Them!

As mentioned on another post, in the past couple of weeks, I’ve added a good 4,000-5,000 books to our inventory.  All told, there were at least 200 boxes of books that got dragged into the shop, piled in every available corner and free space. Whew!

Far too many of those boxes were contemporary fiction, which isn’t the kind of book we’re particularly interested in carrying or trying to sell… they take up far too much room in our small shop!

So… here’s the deal:

We want to get rid of the boxes you can see in the photos, as well another 15-20 boxes presently stored in my garage. And we’re practically giving them away, especially if you come and take the entire load.

Price:  Most of our contemporary fiction is 50c for mass market paperbacks, $1.00 for trade paperbacks and $2.00 for hardcovers; buy 3 of any kind, get one of the same kind for free.

Or, we offer a “Fill-A-Bag for 5 Bucks” deal… use one of our own reindeer-themed bags, which holds about a dozen hardcovers (and lots more mass market or trade paperbacks), for just five dollars.  That’s a great price, especially with the holidays coming up.  (Warning, digging through the boxes is a royal pain, as there’s no room to really move around in the conference room where they’re currently stored.)

If individually priced, the value of all these books based on what they’re selling for on Amazon (not the cover price), is likely around a couple of thousand dollars, not counting shipping.  I suspect there are probably 1,200-1,500 at the shop, and another 500-750 books in my garage.

You can buy this entire inventory – all 2,000+/- books (contemporary fiction only) for just $200.  That’s about 10c a book.   Please take us up on this offer.  I need my conference room, and I need my garage!

Condition:  Most are in excellent, like new condition.

All sales, after expenses, go to support The Grief Warrior Project, a suicide prevention drop-in center in development.  The Grief Warrior Project‘s support group room is located at Heritage Collectibles.  FMI: Linda, 207 / 740-2247.

NOTE:  With the exception of nearly 14,000 books, plus maps & music (sheet music & vinyl), most of our antique and other inventory can now be found at the Undercover Antique Mall in Oxford.  We are booth number 56.

We hope you will enjoy our revamped shop, as well as our booth in Oxford, as you did our original retail space on Main Street.

For those dying to check out the revamped Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps, we are still in the same building, but our new entrance is at the back of that building.

Just enter 9 Park Street, Lewiston into your GPS and park in the nearest available spot.  Our entrance is through the door at the end of the building on the right hand side.  You’ll see signs in the windows (“Retail Store” and “Heritage Collectibles” and “Antiques” as well as others; you’ll also see my silver Jeep Liberty parked nearby.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us since August of 2014!

In memory of my beloved husband John K Snyder… 20 Sept 1956 – 21 Oct 2016.
He loved our shops, especially the section we called Heritage Books, Maps & Ephemera – that was his baby.

He loved me like crazy, and oh how I loved him.

Follow our blog at https://warrior-project.org, in honor of my husband, and all others who have been lost to internal demons that in the end, overwhelmed them.

All of the profits after expenses from Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps will go to help fund The Grief Warrior Project, a suicide prevention drop-in and counseling center in the process of being developed.

(Please Note: The Grief Warrior Project is in no way intended to be reflective of, or piggy back off, Wounded Warriors which serves those military personnel wounded after September 11, 2001.  Like too many others, John was a warrior long before then.)

I love all the books that you have. I have been following your blog post for a few days. I might be a major buyer in the near future. I will be looking for 1st Editions only and nothing that would grade below Near Fine.
