Reminder: We Are Closed Through September 25, While We Are Visiting Our New Grandson!

Our booth (#23) at the Hathaway Mill Antique Mall, 10 Water Street in Waterville is OPEN, 10:00-5:00, seven days a week!  We’ve crammed it full of great inventory, so please check it out!

When we return, come check out the following!

Heritage Books & Maps!  Although we couldn’t get it completely organized before we left, we’re pleased with the way the Books & Maps section of the shop is looking!  We have loads of vintage & contemporary hardcover fiction; a section devoted to cats, dogs and other animals; an area for spiritual books; hundreds of religious books; psychology, sociology and mental health; other languages; architecture; mechanics & engineering; science; medicine & health; humor; children’s; cookbooks;  travel & adventure; American history; world history; military history; biographies and memoirs; gardening; domestic arts; sports; antique reference; building & farmsteading; music; and the arts…. as well as loads of other categories!

Expanded Music Room!  We moved all of our vinyl, music books and instruments to a larger space within the shop… and now have some other equipment such as speakers, and DVD players on sale!

Check Out Our New Tool Room!  We’ve moved all of our tools into the old Music Room, and added quite a few items.  I’m actively looking for more antique and vintage tools to buy since we’ve sold a lot in the past few weeks… so send your referrals this-a-way!

Frames & Small Mirrors Closet!  We have piles of old and new picture frames for sale and finally have set up a space to display them all together.

Arts & Crafts and Small Group Classroom!  Our classroom has been reclaimed!  (It had turned into a junk storage room for far too long.)  We’re planning to start our classes again this fall!

We’re still reorganizing, and trying to find room for the 10,000 books we have in stock (several thousand are taking up half of our own personal garage), but we’re working on it!

Recent News: We now have a space (Booth #23) at the Hathaway Mill Antique Center at 10 Water Street in Waterville!

Hours:  Our hours have expanded!  We are now open longer hours on Fridays and most Sundays.  NOTE:  This Sunday, August 13, we will be open from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm only!

As always, if you’re coming from any distance, please give me a call ahead of time to ensure I’ll be open… if our hours don’t work with your schedule and if I can possibly swing it, I can be available some mornings before 10:00.  Most afternoons through the evening, I’m at my social work job until at least 8:00 pm but I could possibly open up after I get out of work.

In memory of my beloved husband John K Snyder… 20 Sept 1956 – 21 Oct 2016.
He loved our shops, especially the section we called Heritage Books, Maps & Ephemera – that was his baby.

He loved me, and oh how I loved him.

Follow our blog at, in honor of my husband, and all others who have been lost to internal demons that in the end, overwhelmed them.

All of the profits after expenses from Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps and Papa’s Thrift Shop will go to help fund The Warrior Project, a suicide prevention drop-in and counseling center in the process of being developed.

(Please Note: The Warrior Project is in no way intended to be reflective of, or piggy back off, Wounded Warriors which serves those military personnel wounded after September 11, 20o1.  Like too many others, John was a warrior long before then.)
