Fourth of July Super Book Sale – One Day Only!

We’ve recently gotten in thousands more good quality books and need to find room for them… so we MUST get rid of hundreds of mass market and trade paperbacks, as well as contemporary hardcover fiction!

Most of the books will be contemporary fiction although there will be some biographies, self-help, romance, and science fiction.  These are GOOD books.

So, presuming it doesn’t rain on the Fourth of July, we will have an OUTSIDE BOOK SALE, along with project items from our Salvage Closet (which is presently so crammed full, no one can get in to look at the stuff), and a pile of yard sale items, including free stuff!

This book sale is ONLY for the books outside the shop.

The sale will begin at 10:00 am and probably run through about 6:00 pm.

Bring your own bags or boxes, or use ours!

Condition:  Most of the books are in very good to like-new condition.

Mass market paperbacks:  8 for $1.00!!
Trade paperbacks:  4 for $1.00!!
Hardcovers: 2 for $1.00!!

More pictures coming soon!

In memory of my beloved husband John K Snyder… 20 Sept 1956 – 21 Oct 2016.
He loved our shops, especially Heritage Books, Maps & Ephemera – it was his baby.

He loved me, and oh how I loved him.

Follow our blog at, in honor of my husband, and all others who have been lost to internal demons that in the end, overwhelmed them.

All of the profits after expenses from Heritage Collectibles, Books & Maps and Papa’s Thrift Shop will go to help fund The Warrior Project, a suicide prevention drop-in and counseling center in the process of being developed.

(Please Note: The Warrior Project is in no way intended to be reflective of, or piggy back off, Wounded Warriors which serves those military personnel wounded after September 11, 20o1.  Like too many others, John was a warrior long before then.)
