I am going to try to open the two shops for a while this afternoon and every day from now on, with the help of my wonderful daughter Jessamyn, who flew in from Los Angeles immediately after learning that John had died, and who hasn’t left my side since.
I’m not certain yet that I can do it, but will try – not only because finances are suddenly very tight for me and we have lots of inventory to sell, but also because Johnny loved our shops so much, and I want to keep them going for him. And I need a focus right now. I’m not ready to go back to my social work job (I don’t know when I will be able to handle that) but I need to try this. If nothing else, cleaning & dusting the stores will keep me busy.
If you are so inclined, please come in and take a look around Heritage Collectibles (we have furniture, art, books, antiques, and gifts), and Heritage Books & Maps (books, maps, records and ephemera). Hopefully, you’ll find something wonderful to take home.
In memory of my beloved husband John K Snyder… 20 Sept 1956 – 21 Oct 2016.
He loved our two shops. He loved me, and oh how I loved him.
