My beloved husband’s tragic and untimely death on October 21st, 2016 has left me in difficult financial circumstances. I want to keep our two shops going because they were our dream, and because Johnny so loved our little stores, but so far they have not been making enough money to be self supporting and have depended on our two incomes to keep them running.
My income alone is not enough to cover my household & personal expenses, and keep the shops open as well.
I’m not asking for donations or charity (although a social worker friend did start a GoFundMe page to help with Johnny’s funeral expenses, which can be found at https://www.gofundme.com/financial-support-for-linda-snyder-2vmxm54s), but am asking that if you have need of art, furniture, books or gifts (especially with the holidays coming), that you please check out Heritage Collectibles and/or Heritage Books & Maps.
Our hours at Heritage Collectibles – once I’m able to see past my grief a little – will be something like this:
Sundays, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Mondays, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Tuesdays, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Thursdays, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Fridays, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Saturdays, 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
I don’t really know much about the books Johnny has in his own private dream – Heritage Books & Maps – but I do know the shop has many military, geography, history, first editions and other books, as well as a nice selection of Maine maps. Heritage Books & Maps will be open as needed; please come find me at Heritage Collectibles and I’ll open that shop for you.
The two stores would be available more hours each week, but I still have to work at my full-time social work job – and I’ll have to take on as many extra hours there as I can.
Heritage Collectibles is located at 189 Main Street in Lewiston. Heritage Books & Maps is at 5 Park Street in Lewiston – it’s the same building but on the side street, and has a separate entrance.
