According to Kovels (http://www.kovels.com), one of the definitive resources in the antiques world, “Frankart, Inc., New York, New York, mass-produced nude dancing lady lamps, ashtrays, and other decorative Art Deco items in the 1920s and 1930s. They were made of white lead composition and spray-painted.Frankart Inc. and the patent number and year were stamped on the base. Frankart also made green metal figural clocks.”
Our little lady is a demure 6 1/2″ tall x 4 3/4″ wide by 3 3/4″ deep. I didn’t know anything about Frankart when I saw her in a box at an auction in Ossipee NH last week, but knew I had to have her – and what a find!
Kovels, which doesn’t show a picture of the piece they priced (but describes it such that it sounds very similar to this one), put a $500 value on theirs.
Our lovely girl is a deal for just $400.00 – and a starting bid price on eBay of $295.00!
Hallmarked with the Frankart Inc. name, also including “Pat Appld For”. Features a gold-colored art deco young (?) girl bust with flowers in her hair. Cast metal sculpture.
Price: Buy-it-now price is $400.00 with FREE shipping & handling. The opening bid price on eBay is $295.00.

Message re Our Products:
All of the items we offer are vintage, antique or simply pre-owned. Therefore, reasonable wear & tear is to be expected, and our items are sold as seen and described in the photos and/or in person.
We try to describe any damage, nicks, blemishes or other problems of which we are aware in any and all of our listings, and always include plenty of clear photographs which are integral to the description, so please review them closely.
Also, please be aware that vintage and antique items are unlikely to be in factory condition, so if you aren’t used to buying antique or vintage items – and are in fact looking for a pristine, unused item – a new reproduction may be better suited for you. We ordinarily do not “clean up” items because such cleaning may detract from their value.
We are specific and honest in our descriptions because we want happy buyers who will return and/or refer their friends!
